ClockIt Translation App

OverviewClockIt is a app centered around queer terms and provides context to queer language and culture. It provides definitions, translations, and historical context to keep you in the know for anyone who is queer, queer questioning, or an ally. Queer language is constantly changing with each generation. Building a collaborative app of commonly used phrases informs both queer and non-queer audiences, as well as collates and identifies language that should be honored and cherised as we progress forward.

User Tasks This app features 3 major user tasks.  One being translating,  the other being contributing, and the other is finding definitions/historical context.

  1. Translate a word/phrase. Users can instantly translate something they heard or read and get an accurate interpretation of it.

  2. Contribute/Suggest a term or phrase. As queer language is constantly adapting, ClockIt allows users to suggest new terminology to be added to the dictionary.

  3. Historical Context+Definition. This allows users to get a deeper knowledge on the phrases they are interested in knowing.
